Week of Prayer 2009
More News, continued......
Outside the Conference: Kingdom Business.
During the Liverpool Summit, but in a separate venue, Christian businessmen and women met to think about how they could network together for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Twenty people gathered for a dinner on Wednesday night when Paul Szkiler of “A Call to Business” spoke from his heart about how to live as Christians in the business world.
The feedback from that ranged from extremely encouraged to strongly provoked. The
general sense is that something needs to be “brought together” to encourage people
in business and to have a voice in the market-
A press release was issued and circulated amongst many Christians and media groups. The feedback from this was encouraging: several of those who could not be at the dinner were excited that something is stirring, and Premier Radio picked up on this Christian response to the financial crisis. The press release was also published by ChristianToday.com:

John Manwell writes, “Dear praying friend – this is only the beginning! What God
has been showing us is vastly greater – and this was an initial prophetic and practical
action in the business community, and it was important that it came out of Liverpool
in 2008 on 1st October. Please continue to pray for the next steps.” John continued,
“I would love to hear your feedback and what God is saying to you about all this.
Please also forward this to those you know in the business community or who have
a heart for the Kingdom to come in the market-
