2009: Year of Continuous Prayer -
As you look down through the history of the Church there is no doubt that prayer changes nations, transforms society, delivers people from hardship and changes lives forever.
What an incentive to pray, especially in these days of shaking in our society!
Praying TOGETHER carries a special power, particularly when it is people from different expressions of church that are working together in it.
That’s why for 2009 we are planning to involve as many as possible in a chain of
continuous prayer in churches around the Mersey Region. Wouldn’t it be great if fifty

It’s not one particular style of prayer: we want to affirm and value all ways of praying, including yours.

It is going to be an exciting time of prayer round the year. Each week a leader from one church will pass the baton on to the next by taking a prayer diary that each church fills in during the week, and prays for God’s blessing on that church.
One of the goals is that we pray for people in our communities. Just as Merseyfest
blessed people through acts of kindness, so we aim to do the same through a sort
of PRAYERFEST -
Radio Merseyside’s “Daybreak” will announce which church is praying each week, and from time to time interviewing key people involved. Make sure you listen on 95.8 Fm 1485 Am and DAB Digital Radio or LISTEN ONLINE
